What is the GM Diet?

You are probably wondering what is the GM Diet?

A girlfriend and I were talking the other day and she said to me . I want to do the GM Diet, I think we should do it together! The first thing I said of course is ‘What is the GM Diet?’.

What is the GM Diet?

I was very surprised to find out the ‘GM’ stands for General Motors and has been doing the diet rounds since 1985. It was originally designed by General Motors for its employees. This diet was created to help increase workforce productivity by making the workforce healthier. The results of the GM diet were surprising– with a substantial number of employees losing 10 to 17 pounds in just a week ( 4.5 to 7.7 kilos).  Efficiency, confidence, and higher energy was experienced by the employees, deeming the diet a great success.

It is believed the biggest reason millions of people advocate completing the GM diet is because it is quite easy to follow. There are no complicated meals to make or high demands on your personal daily routine. It became popular throughout the world and is known by different names you may have heard – ‘the gm diet’, ‘the cabbage soup diet’, and ‘the sacred heart diet’.

We have successfully followed the GM Diet ourselves and for this reason, we recommend the GM diet for you.

Does the GM Diet Work?

Yes, the GM diet does work! After completing the diet, I lost 8.6 pounds (3.9 kg) in 7 days on the GM Diet. I was hungry a few days as I did not read the diet in full just day by day and realized later on I could eat the wonder soup if I felt like I needed to eat more. I also want to add that I broke the diet on a couple of the days due to functions and events however while out I made healthy choices to help support the diet and did not drink any alcohol or sodas during this time, just lots of water to help with the elimination of toxins from my system. I did not exercise apart from swimming and walking, my girlfriend who was also  doing the diet had to stop the diet as she was doing intensive exercise and cross-fit training and felt dizzy on the diet therefore her PT recommended to cease the GM Diet or stop training. She did lose nearly 4 pounds ( 2 kilos) in the first two and a half days.
